Cookie Policy

1. Our approach
The Nide Works website uses no advertising cookies, Google Analytics or social-network pixels and does not track you across websites. PostHog audience measurement is disabled by default and loads only after your explicit consent. Refusing does not prevent you from viewing the website or submitting a form.
2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. It can, in particular, remember preferences or, for some cookies, track browsing activity.
3. Storage and services used
a) Remembering your choice — strictly necessary
The website stores the key nw-consent-v1 in your browser's local storage. It contains only the version of the notice, your audience-measurement choice, the date of that choice and its expiry. It contains no contact details and expires after six months. Without this key, the website could not consistently honour a refusal or avoid asking you to choose again on every page.
b) PostHog audience measurement — optional
If, and only if, you accept the « Audience measurement » category, the website loads
PostHog Cloud EU and creates a pseudonymous identifier in a first-party cookie and/or local storage, under a name generally beginning with
ph_ and ending with _posthog. Its configured maximum duration is six months. It is used to distinguish consented visits and calculate sessions; it is not used to recognise you on another website.
PostHog receives limited data about pages, language, referring domain, browser, operating system, device type, approximate country, recognised campaigns and the interactions provided for by the website. Standardised business categories may indicate, for example, the lead or project type, a budget, deadline, company-size or experience range, or the presence of a company or VAT number. No free-form value from the form — name, email address, telephone number, company name, VAT number, message, link or document — is sent to PostHog.
The IP address is processed while routing the request, particularly to determine the approximate country and detect automated traffic, then discarded at ingestion through the project's anonymisation setting. Autocapture, person profiles, heatmaps, console logs and session recording are disabled. Events are hosted in the European Union and retained for a maximum of 12 months.
Only after your consent, the key nw-analytics-entry-v1 in
sessionStorage retains the first measured page, its timestamp, the referring domain and only the recognised campaign categories. It distinguishes this entry page from the page currently being viewed. It expires after 30 minutes without measured activity, is deleted when consent is withdrawn and disappears when the tab is closed. It does not reconstruct your browsing before consent and contains no free-form form value or free-form URL parameter.
c) Language preference — functional local storage
When you explicitly choose a language in the selector, the website stores the keys nw-lang and nw-lang-expires-at in your browser's local storage. They contain only the selected language and its expiry, set at
six months. This preference is strictly functional: it is not used for audience measurement, is not sent to any third party and is not created during a simple visit. You may delete it at any time by clearing the website's data in your browser.
The attribution context of a request (entry page, referring domain and recognised campaign) travels only through internal links until a form is submitted voluntarily. It is not retained in your browser through a separate cookie or local storage and is not sent to PostHog without your consent.
d) Form anti-spam protection — strictly necessary
During a voluntary submission, the transport IP address is immediately converted on the server into an irreversible cryptographic code. This code contains no contact details, remains separate from the request and is kept for no more than two days; it is used only to limit abuse. The raw IP address and user agent are not recorded in the register of leads or applicants.
e) Google Maps map (Contact page) — third-party service, on request
The Contact page offers a map provided by Google Maps. To protect your privacy, this map does not load automatically: it appears only after you click « Show the map ». Only then may Google place its own cookies and receive data (including your IP address), in accordance with Google's privacy policy. As long as you do not display it, no Google cookie is placed.
f) Fonts hosted by the website
The website uses fonts hosted on its own domain, with system fonts as a fallback. No font file is requested from Google or any other third-party provider.
4. Managing your choice
On first display, « Reject all », « Customise » and « Accept all » are offered on the same level, with no optional category preselected. The permanent « Manage my preferences » button then allows you to change or withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal prevents all new PostHog events, resets the analytics identifier and disables its local persistence. You may also remove other website preferences by clearing its data in your browser.
Global Privacy Control and « Do Not Track » signals are respected: when active, the PostHog module is not loaded, even if an earlier acceptance choice exists. Measurement does not establish a named profile enabling Nide Works to identify an ordinary visitor.
The Google Maps map never appears without your click: simply do not request it to prevent any third-party cookie from being placed. You may also block cookies through your browser settings.
